Summary
Ms. Draughon is a passionate and highly experienced bankruptcy attorney having represented hundreds of individuals, married couples and small businesses in bankruptcy and debt resolution matters. She is a native of Jacksonville, having graduated from Episcopal High School and the University of North Florida where she completed her undergraduate work.
Ms. Draughon received her law degree in 1992 from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduating from law school, she litigated with the Birmingham insurance law firm of Huie, Fernambucq & Stewart until returning home to Jacksonville in 1995. Since that time, her practice has been primarily in the areas of Insurance, Small Business, and Bankruptcy. For the last several years, her focus has been exclusively on helping clients make a fresh start by filing for relief under Chapters 7 and 13 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.
She has passed state bar exams in Florida, Georgia and Alabama and is actively licensed to practice law in both Florida and Georgia. She is a current member of the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida's US Bankruptcy Court. In addition, Ms. Draughon is also a member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Attorneys, Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association, as well as many other local groups and organizations.
